Eeesh…

That’s all I can say about my lack of posting lately… work has been ridiculous and it’s really got me thinking. I’m going to be 25 this year (I know I’m still super young, yeah yeah , blah blah) and I haven’t done anything! I mean, I have an amazing husband, a great job, I got my yoga certification… but when do I get to start living?

We want to travel, I want to actually have time to take a yoga class for myself again. I want to learn to play the guitar and take acting/singing lessons. I want to be at a place where I finally feel like “We’ve arrived, this is our life”… Does that even make sense? I’ve decided to make a list of my goals for the next year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years… I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

So for now… here is a little fashion inspiro from miss MK Olsen. This is all I want to wear, everyday, forever… haha or at least until work mellows out a bit.

So sorry…

To my few faithfull blog followers out there… My life has been so shockingly busy this past month or so. I miss blogging but I literally have had NO time. I barely have time for this post.

 

I just wanted to write and say that I will be back, I promise! I love my blog and I can’t wait for things to calm down at work so I can start up again… I don’t really even take a lunch break, I just bring my food to my desk and keep working.

 

I guess it’s a blessing that with the economy the way it is we are still as busy as we are…

 

Anyway I will be back, I can’t say when exactly but I will. I’m going to try, at least, to post once a week. Even if it’s jst some pics of whats going on. I have really had some exciting things happen, like meeting a famous surfer and one of  my favorite musicians, Jake Shimabukuro (YOU TUBE him).

 

I did get to go to the beach a couple weekends ago, so like I said, it’s not all bad…. Till next time!

What’s going on?

A lot actually… The past couple weeks have been SO busy for me, as you can probably tell by the lack of posting.

Here’s what’s been going on…

1. I had a Younglife leader retreat last weekend, Younglife is the Teen Organization my husband and I volunteer for. It’s so great to be around so many encouraging and fun people…

 

2. I finally sent my camera in to be fixed so this time next week I will start posting my outfit pics, I’m really excited cuz I think I put together some really great stuff.

 

3. I got a free one hour full body massage yesterday. My manager at the yoga studio will be giving one away at each of our monthly meetings and I was lucky enough to get it this time around. It was AMAZING by the way…

 

4. Work is crazy right now, we just hired a new sales guy which means a ton more work for me.

 

This mixed with all the normal work, yoga and younglife stuff has made my life a little jam packed.

Be on the lookout for my next wish list blog, I’m trying to make up for lost time by posting thrice in one day…

I’m Baaaack…

Haha, wow it’s been a while. Year end has been crazy at work. I finally finished, for the most part. I’m just waiting for our accountant in New Jersey to overlook everything and tell me if I need to correct any issues.

I have really missed blogging, it was pretty hard to stay away, but for the sake of my job and sanity I had to get everything done. I have, of course, still been checking Nicole’sblog everyday. She help to keep me from going crazy. 

I just got back from snowboarding in Big Bear with about 20 high school kids. It was so much fun! Pictures to come soon, the view from our bedroom was unbelievable…

The weekend before last I went to the beach with Leahand the boys. Abel had a blast and Kendal was good as long as he didn’t have to touch the sand or the water…lol Then we joined our friends at the softball field by our house to watch Kenny and the best friends play their qualifying game. After that we all met up at our house for a couple games of Settlers and some Kung Fu Panda action.

I have been so busy lately and it seems that it is to hard for me to say “no” to some people. I feel like I am going to stretch myself too thin, I could feel myself breaking down a little bit last night. I need to really think about what I am willing to give up. It is so hard though, because everything I’m doing are things that I LOVE, Bible studies, Teaching Yoga, being a leader to my Sr. girls in YoungLife. What do I let go of? It really makes me sad. I need to spend some time with God and really listen for what it is he wants me to be doing.

Year End is killing my blog…

Year end at the office is a crazy time for me. I have had to concentrate solely on work, not even a normal lunch break! Anyway, my blogging life will be back to normal very soon, I hope. Until then here is a little update…

 

*Xmas was awesome, I got to spend some great quality time with most of my family.  Kenny and I got Manduka yoga mats, which are like the Mazerati of yoga mats. Super exciting!  We got a lot of things we needed and a few added suprises like a salt rock air purifier from Nicole and Peter and gift cards for 1 hour of foot reflexology… Good times!

 

*New Years was alot of fun, even though our plans ended up falling through. We started the night with a few friends playing a game of Settlers of Catan, yeah…. for 6 hours! We ended up missing our friends block party because we were so in to the game. We bought it the other day and have been playing it so much that for a couple of nights I was dreaming about different stratagies… Bad I know.

 

*Reading – I have been reading a lot lately, this is great because it’s my favorite thing to do. I just finished the first two of the Left Behind series which I LOVED. Now I’ve moved on to the Twilight series, I like it a lot and I love Edward. The only thing that I find a bit irritating is that in certain situations the writer seems to overdo it a bit, it ends up being hard to picture the event. Other than that, it’s great!

 

*Uganda- On Christmas day there was rebel attack in Northern Uganda, not far from where I was in September. 400 villagers were killed and some children were ubducted, it’s painful to think about. It’s not a war, it’s literally men with guns and machetes coming into a village of farmers and… I don’t even know.  I can only pray for those killed, hurt, ubducted and those who were left with no one to care for them. (if you want to do some research Google the “LRA” or “Lord’s Resistance Army” or “Joseph Kony”)

Rainy Day Tuesday

(NOTE: HaHa I was so screwed up by the rain I thought it was Tuesday, it was Wednesday… wow)

With “Year End” right around the corner, work has been super busy for me. But I thought a little update would be good.

 

*I wore the short dress to the Company Christmas party, but by the end of it I kind of wished I wore the longer one. Oh well. Pics to come soon, my shoes were rad! Thanks to everyone that voted for the dresses (it seems all my guy friends voted for the long one, weird)If you don’t know what I’m talking about go to this POST

 

*I got my iPhone, and it’s more awesome than I could have imagined… lol I’m a little obsessive but I’m sure I’ll calm down with time, I’ll post soon about all the amazing Aps that I love.

 

*I had my birthday party on Saturday the 13th and it was pretty fun, it didn’t really feel like my birthday party though, it was odd. Post to come on the Beautiful cake I made, with pictures of course, you can see some pics of the weekend at NICOLE’s blog.

 

* One of my Yoga Students, Lori, made me a hat for Christmas and brought it to the studio last night before I taught class….. Awesome! Look how cute it is! Perfect day for it too, I’m cold. brrr Oh and the scarf was a gift from our Younglife area leader

 

*Random, my eyes are almost brown today, they’re normally greenish. It’s the rain I think…

Happy Birthday to ME!

I am 24 today! Very exciting, I like the sound of 24 and I like getting older. I like seeing the changes in my face and body, feeling more like a woman every year.  I can almost rent a car, haha. The guys at work pitched in and got me $200 in gift cards to AT&T cuz I’ve been talking about the Iphone alot lately. Oh and an Iphone clear cover! AwesomeI I’m excited too because you can access Skype via the web, I love skype free online calling to anywhere in the world, so I can call my friends in Italy, England and even Africa! (haha I sound like an infomertial) They all sang to me and even my hubby and Don (our Associate Pastor, who we are really close with) were there to join in!

Great morning! All my friends have texted me to wish me a happy birthday, that’s the best part of birthdays. I love the calls when a friend (or mom) calls sounding all tired to sing, then go back to bed. haha

This is bound to be a great weekend. I have the Company Christmas party on Thurday night, a Younglife Christmas party Friday night, then Mel’s “My mom is out of town” party later Friday night, Corepower Yoga Christmas Party Saturday night, then Finallly my Birthday Party later Saturday night! Woo Hoo!!! I’m so blessed to have the friends I do, the family, the job, the jeep(even though it broke down last night). I am so blessed and loved. Thank you all! Even you bloggers, thanks for coming to my little space and reading about my life.

My Boss is RAD

OK, my boss as he’s leaving tells me to take my business AMEX and spend $200 on my outfit and stuff for our Christmas Party! My heart is pounding, I’m kind of sweaty, I CAN”T WAIT TO GO SHOPPING!!!Nicole come with me on Saturday!! He is seriously one of the most generous people I have ever met. For halloween he offered a $100 prize for the best halloween costume, which I won by the way. I am up for any ideas for what I might wear to The Stonehill Tavern.

So I thought since the elections were over I would be saved from political talks at work. Oh was I wrong….

My Boss thinks that because I don’t respond to him when he talks about politics that I am uneducated. I don’t pretend to know everything, there are some things I don’t know anything about, but either way I don’t want to talk about it with my boss. Oh, I have an opinion and some of the time it may even agree with his. But I don’t choose to talk about it. He just keeps digging, and digging, and digging….
