The King of Pop

I was so sad last night, all of us in the office found out right away about Michael, but it didn’t really hit me till I was in the car driving home. Every radio station was playing their tribute to MJ, and I realized that he will forever be remembered as a man that shaped what our music industry is today, he was and is such an inspiration.

Michael was so troubled, his whole life. No one can ever truely know what he’s done or been through, I can’t stand the horrible jokes that have gone on for so long. I can’t stand that his image will forever be tarnished by things that may or may not be true. As for me, I hope that he had some peace, and happiness in his life. 

 

I choose to remember Michael like this…

 

James Perse

This blog … Because I’m Addicted reminded me of how much I love James Perse’ clothes. Every piece is extremely versatile, whether going from day to night, beach to bar, summer to winter… A lot of their stuff reminds me of American Aparrel actually, super cozy and breezy fabrics, loose fits. However, I have no money, haha, so for now I will just drool and hope I win something over at BIA!

That’s all I can say about my lack of posting lately… work has been ridiculous and it’s really got me thinking. I’m going to be 25 this year (I know I’m still super young, yeah yeah , blah blah) and I haven’t done anything! I mean, I have an amazing husband, a great job, I got my yoga certification… but when do I get to start living?

We want to travel, I want to actually have time to take a yoga class for myself again. I want to learn to play the guitar and take acting/singing lessons. I want to be at a place where I finally feel like “We’ve arrived, this is our life”… Does that even make sense? I’ve decided to make a list of my goals for the next year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years… I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

So for now… here is a little fashion inspiro from miss MK Olsen. This is all I want to wear, everyday, forever… haha or at least until work mellows out a bit.

Tinted

I don’t normally wear much makeup. Why? Cuz I’m lazy most of the time There are however a few things I can’t stand when I’m not wearing makeup…

1) I always look super washed out in pictures, oh and it never fails that someone wants to take pics when I have no makeup on, never. 

2). I live at the beach so in sunny weather I’m always wearing sunblock, which makes me look even more “washed out” than before.

So, when I saw This Blog Post, I went out the next day and bought…

Patricia Wexler M.D. ($30 @ Bath and Body Works)

I love it, it’s really light and doesn’t cake on like liquid concealer. It’s just a nice little “tint”. Also it’s great because a little goes a long way, I use about a pea sized amount for my whole face.

The only con is that it leaves me a bit shiny, so I just brushed some of my “Bare Escentuals, Mineral Veil” over it and was good to go!

So, I’m going to start a new series showing a blogger who’s style inspires me. It might be just one of their outfits, their hair, makeup… who knows… I’ll try to do this weekly so keep an eye out.

STYLE DIGGER - Poland, This is Joanna and only a tiny bit of her blog is in English. She is a stylist. She has such a unique way of mixing things up and makes her style seem effortless. I love how she wears this sweater and I am now totally inspired to find something similar. She is also so great at accessorizing, which I need a lot of help with… such great style…

DIY Shredded Tee

I finally took a pic of the back of my ”diy tee” from my last post. I love it so much! It was so much fun to make and it only took me a couple hours. I went to “5 for $10″ by my house and bought a bunch of kids Large tees to use. I like the way they fit once their done being pulled apart. I’m gonna try to make a cropped version next. I’m thinking bright pink might by fun…
